why therapy?
Navigating life can sometimes present challenges which feel confusing, difficult, and lonely; especially in present times. I offer holistic, integrative psychotherapy for those who are craving a new route in life, one of personal evolution, embodiment, and choice. Having the space to safely process life experiences can help you grow a greater understanding of yourself and your relationships, resulting in well-being.
I am not here to pathologize you, I am here to address you as a whole human. From a holistic framework I consider your larger context - how your history, community, family, socio-political systems, and culture - interact with your multiple, intersecting identities. My integrative approach infuses shared humor, creative directives, mindfulness practices, body-based explorations, and practical strategies to support you in better understanding your psyche to therefore address your specific goals for therapy.
The work focuses on the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle to support you in increasing your self awareness and ability to heal through connection and creativity. As a trauma-informed clinician I prioritize safety, choice, and collaboration in our work together. You are the expert of your personal experiences and capable of long-lasting change. A trained art therapist, art therapy sessions are integrative and process based, focusing on the process of making art rather than analyzing a product. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and somatic-based modalities. Sessions are client-centered, holding you in unconditional positive regard.

Art Therapy
An integrative field of mental health that aims to enrich one’s life through active art-making, creative processing, & applied psychological theory within a psychotherapeutic relationship. Art Therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change.
No artistic experience is required. Sessions focus on the process of creating, rather than the product created. Together, we engage with creativity as a pathway to reclaiming one’s own healing and personal expression to connect with oneself, others, and the spaces we live within. This offering is for those who wish to invest in radical self reflection for change and liberation, in themselves and the world. Each session is unique in compassionately responding to your individual needs. Together, we integrate tools of mindfulness, meditation, expressive arts, ritual, and somatic practices to foster your intentions towards empowerment.
